Engineer, broker, investor, coach

Duc Pham founded Wonder Rates to make home financing simpler and more transparent: compare loans across wholesale lenders, explain the trade-offs in plain language, and close on time.

He trained as an engineer — a B.S. in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science from UC Berkeley and an M.S. in Computer Engineering from Stanford — before building the playbook that turned Wonder Rates into a top mortgage name. That background shows in how the company works today: AI-assisted loan matching paired with licensed loan officers.

Duc focused the business on home loans, backed his team with competitive pay, and coaches loan officers to serve clients well rather than chase volume. He also leads Wonder Rates’ loan officer training program and its real estate investment course.

An experienced real estate investor himself, Duc understands both sides of the table, and he advises Vietnamese American families across Wonder Rates’ licensed states in the language they are most comfortable in.
